Maybe, just maybe, there's a small food entrepreneur in Grey-Bruce thinking big.  As big as Kicking Horse Coffee of Invermere, B.C. It started with a dream by two people, grew to 90 employees to become Canada's largest independent fair trade coffee roaster. All from little Invermere.

It's possible, even likely, there's a healthy business locally that’s just been humming along for years.  It is looking to transition to new leadership with growth ambitions, but needs investors to scale.

Or maybe there's a young skateboard entrepreneur in our region like Tobi Lutke. Tobi is the founder of Shopify, Canada's hottest technology company with almost 2,000 people and sales in the hundreds of millions.

These stories can become realities in Grey-Bruce. They can happen when entrepreneurs dream big. They can happen when inspired entrepreneurs get financial investment and knowledge transfer from experienced business leaders.

That's why the Bluewater Angel Investor Group exists.

Because we believe in entrepreneurs. We believe economic growth can happen here with a little help from people who've been there, done that, and want to reinvest in our community.

Bluewater Angels is a collaboration of 20 accredited investors prepared to invest several million dollars in local companies.  Our Angels seek to invest in and mentor scalable startups; established high-growth companies; businesses in transition or succession; and those willing to relocate or establish operations in Grey and Bruce Counties.

Bluewater Angel Investor Group is a not-for-profit corporation, founded in 2017. It is a private sector initiative, governed by a volunteer Board elected by its members. It is supported by a number of private and public sector sponsors. It works in partnership with the existing local ecosystem that fosters entrepreneurial success.
